Great Travel Moment It was our last day in the Torres del Paine national park in the Chilean Patagonia. We'd spent five days hiking the epic trail, the "W", camping on frozen ground, living out of 50 lb backpacks and surviving on a medley of peanuts, instant noodles and granola. Each leg of our hike provided stunning views of a primitive yet majestic landscape carved out of the last ice age. The last leg took us to the famous Glacier Grey. Here we had the chance to relax and reflect on how far we had come and how lucky we were to have been here in the first place. A thought: who knows how much longer this will around. |
