Great Travel Moment

I was visiting Lithuania with my good friend & her daughter who have Lithuanian heritage. The day we arrived at Trakai, it had been raining the entire day and had just stopped shortly before I captured this image. We were about ready to walk out to the castle when I saw this scene and photographed it. What impressed me was the sense of fantasy & peacefulness the image stirred in me. I was taken with the contrast of the ancient castle & the modern boats. The flat grey color of the sky blended with the grey of the water. The orange castle walls & roof are the complementary color to the blue boats, giving yet another dimension of interest to the image. The photograph has an almost unreal feel to it and has the look of a painting.
