Great Travel Moment There's much talk about Ireland's forty shades of green, but, while walking along the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland, my wife and I noticed at least several dozen shades of pinks and as many yellows all in the form of wildflowers. As we were taking an after-dinner stroll along the ocean, we were amazed at the abundant variety of flowers. All within ten paces, we were able to find just as many different flowers. With the sound of the ocean waves breaking on the rocks below us and twilight setting in around us, we felt as if we were walking in a fairy land. This feeling was compounded by the fact that we were visiting the little resort town in the off season, so there was nobody around. It was the kind of moment that was as wonderful in the details as it was in the panorama. |
