Great Travel Moment

I had gone to Alaska for the wildlife, especially whales. I willingly shot dozens of rolls of film, knowing that the processing would cost almost as much as the trip. There were great opportunities every day and I got wonderful images of whales, bears, birds, and other wildlife. Going through the results, though, nothing seemed to really capture the feel of the trip. It wasn't until I got to the last image on the last roll that this picture appeared. Taken while I was kayaking with humpbacks at Point Adolphus, it reflects the unique combination of peace and majesty I found in th Glacier Bay area
