Great Travel Moment In 2004 my friends Matt, Chris, and myself took the ultimate month long road trip from Atlanta to Seattle stopping at every scenic spot along the way. We spent our first night camping in Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Our second day was an epic 24 hour drive through 50 America's heartland eager to reach the Western frontier. It took a few coffee stops and some loud music but we finally made it to the Badlands National Park just after sunrise. For me this picture captures the sense of awe and wonder we were feeling as we looked upon this bizarrely beautiful landscape with tired eyes from the long drive. As tired as we were however, we still spent the early morning hours hiking and exploring before we finally called it a day and set up camp. |
