Great Travel Moment During my last trip to Spain, I wanted to explore the culinary masterpieces of Basque cooking. I had read about Asador Extebarri, the best place in the world for grilled delicacies. The food was delicious (especially the delicately grilled caviar), but my favorite aspect of the dining experience was the setting. Asador Extebarri is located in a very tiny town up in the misty mountains of Basque Country. I had to drive on hairpin turns through foggy mountain roads in order to reach the destination. Although I was late for my reservation, I was compelled to stop and enjoy the beauty of nature in this northern province of Spain. While driving, I stopped in beautiful overlook spots to see lovely little mountain villages and the lush greens of the Basque Country. |
