Great Travel Moment I took this photo from a Cessna 172 as I was flying from Santa Fe, New Mexico over to Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. This area is one of the most beautiful and colorful desert landscapes in the southwest. The rocks span over 200 million years in this area and the desert is punctuated by Abiquiu Lake and the Chama River. The different hues of red, yellow, white, black and green that paint the landscape make me secretly smile when I am out in the sweltering humidity of my flat home in Florida. I often drive out to this area as well, climb to the top of several of these hills and spend the day looking and listening to nature. |

This looks like a very tranquil place.
