Great Travel Moment

Over my lifespan, I've been fortunate enough to vacation in Hawaii several times. Each of these visits was marked with memorable moments that forever will warm me on a cold winter night. But one thing was always missing from my tropical vacations. I never saw that legendary sunset that Hawaii is so known for. The line where the horizon meets the ocean was always blocked for some reason. There was a cloud layer, haze or something preventing that mystical view. That was until today, when I perched along the beach watching the sun again begin its journey into a deep sleep for the night. Suddenly, I was seeing it. It was that mythical, picture perfect sunset. It took many years and several trips to the tropics to see it, but it finally happened. It was worth the wait.
