Great Travel Moment I took this photo on our 2005 honeymoon to the Greek Isles. This was taken on the island of Santorini, in the town of Oia. This entire island is a paradise for the amateur photographer, with a postcard-come-to-life view around every corner. This photo captured a spot I came across where there was this metal decorative piece on top of a wall. I remember thinking how wonderful it was that this didn't seem to belong to any particular home or business, but that someone had been inspired to simply add this extra piece of art to an already-phenomenal view. It shows that the beauty of the Greek Isles can be found on all scales, ranging from the sweeping views of the Aegean or distant islands, down to the detail of small wall decorations like this heart-shaped view I found. |
