Great Travel Moment I took this photo on my $15 Holga pinhole camera. Usually light washes in through the cheap lens to create a very arty photo, but this time, it did not, which makes the crisp clearness of the image all the more astonishing. I'd left our hotel room early to catch the rising sun, whose colors were warmly reflected in the waters of the Grand Canal. It was the last day of our stay in Venice, and we were feeling nostalgic about leaving it on such a gloriously sunny day in late April. Whenever we look at this photo, it makes us want to sing... For shortly after this was taken, we found ourselves a Venetian pianist who would accompany us as we practiced for an upcoming concert in the U.S. |
