Great Travel Moment

This picture was taken by me last summer in Garmisch-Parten Kirchen, Germany. My best friend and I were couch-surfing all over Europe, and we stopped in this small Bavarian village to visit my Grandmother's cousins. When we arrived, my German family welcomed us with open arms and told us of all the wonderful things that we must see while in Garmisch-Parten Kirchen. One of the places that they insisted we visit was a gorge that runs alongside a nearby mountain. We hiked up the mountain, through some rather scary-looking caves, and lo and behold- we felt as if we had entered a magical fairyland. Everything was illuminated with the spray of waterfalls, and it gave off a mystical feeling. I love to look at this picture because it brings me back to feeling as if I am in another land, one filled with magic.
