Great Travel Moment Living in Rabat, Morocco for three months allowed me to really get to know the place. I'd never seen an ocean or been out of North America before. By the end of three months, Rabat felt like home. I was showing the city to new volunteers; how to get to the Hassan Tower, Oudaya Kasbah, down to the Atlantic, up to the Medina and through Centre Ville. One day, I brought two friends back to a jeweller in the Medina, and he gave me a tiny Hand of Fatima necklace as commission. It made me feel so welcome in a foreign country. |
