Great Travel Moment

While visiting the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian, I saw these pieces of paper tacked to a board. When I asked what they were, someone told me that people write their prayers, wishes, and desires on these papers and leave them here with the hope that everything will come true. I thought it was beautiful, that people put their inner-most thoughts out there for the world to see. There is something magical about everyone's prayers in one place.
