Great Travel Moment This could not be a better photograph to represent our first trip to India: a group of children playing India's national sport with India's greatest monument in the background. We were told if you want to make friends in India, remember to learn to talk about cricket. Cricket is the national sport in India and it is everywhere: on t.v., on radio, play in all neighborhoods rich and poor alike. It would seem that India's passion for the game of cricket is as great as the love the fifth Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan had for second wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Theirs was one of the greatest love stories of Indian history, resulting in one of the greatest monuments of all time– the Taj Mahal. |

awesome. i have a photo of the same subject in this contest but yours is much better. i shot mine with a point and shoot from a distance as i was leaving, so i always knew it would be just a snapshot.
anyway, i got to be there and hang out with some of these kids and later came back to play soccer for a bit, so the moment was great no matter what the shot looks like. i really like this and wish you luck. well done.
