Great Travel Moment One of my favorite places in Turkey was Antalya. Although, it has become a popular Mediterranean resort, I stayed in the cliff-top fortress region of Kaleici which still maintains the charm of the sleepy fishing village it once was. The harbor and marina is built on top of an ancient Roman harbor and is a buzz of daily activities. No fancy yachts and jetsetters, just fishing and excursion boats coming and going. With breathtaking views of the snowcapped Toros Mountains, it was wonderful place to stroll along the jetty, stop for some ice cream and savor life's little pleasures. After a few days, I felt as if I was just one of the regulars instead of just a visitor. I know I will return again very soon. |
