Great Travel Moment I had read of the Pak Ou caves near Luang Prabang, Laos, and they sounded like just the kind of thing that I would enjoy. In 2003 a friend and I headed to Luang Prabang. Naturally, our Guest House owner had a cousin or uncle or some sort of relative that would be happy to take us up to the caves (for asmall fee, of course). We started out early in the morning; just my buddy, the boat owner and his sun, and me. Our little boat was no more than 3 or 4 feet wide. We happily puttered up the Mekong River. Our lazy meandering occasionally blasted apart by incredibly fast, incredibly loud, fast boat/ taxis The caves, I thought, were beautiful. Although, I heard some people that came by a different boat complaining:This is it?! What a waste of a day. The caves contain thousands of old statues of the Buddha. I took many, many rolls of film: both 35mm andHolga Plastic Camera This one is my favorite |

Thanks guys! I am new at the whole submitting pix thing... it means a lot to hear from you. pcoquelin1, i do have a cropped version of this pic, i struggled with which one to submit... i decided on the "full-frame" just to show off the medium format film i guess....

I have looked at the photograph once more, and I like it EVEN more. The composition is great, the the light which filters in is beautiful. The only minor things that detracts from it, is the writing on the bottom. Perhaps you could crop that out. All that being said, it still has prize winning capability...at least to me!
