Maui: Hawaii's“Land of the Sun”. One look at this incredible sunset is all you need to understand why Maui was granted this title. After years of wishing and planning, I was obliged to finally get the opportunity to see it for myself. Moments off the plane, the warm, tropical air caressed my face in a welcoming breeze. I knew instantly this wasn't a dream- not like the ones that frequently filled my head, running through cashmere sand, snorkeling in crystal waters, smelling sweet aromas of fresh pineapple and sugar cane plantations, or basking in golden sunshine. It was all that and more! Destination: South Kihei: with laid-back, friendly locals; warm beaches; great food; and some of the most breath-taking scenery I have ever laid eyes upon. However, one evening stroll along the beach awoke me to a light of Maui I never saw before- an authentic Hawaiian sunset.
