Great Travel Moment

The churning clouds raced across the landscape in a continuous swirl of shape. The sun mischievously playing hide and seek in their midst. I watched the performance with interest, as sun and cloud seemingly at warp speed, would transform the landscape before me like an out of control slide show. This single turret on the castle terrace resembled a lonely guard, forever at attention, oblivious to the light show behind him. This place seemed desolate, windswept, yet enchanting. An agreeable place to daydream, and consider the blustery day before me. I wondered if armies of these solemn giants ever went to war on a day as beautiful as this. Or did they too appreciate a beautiful day now and then."No fighting today", perhaps they said,"let's just enjoy the weather".
