Great Travel Moment I love scuba diving because you can feel so many emotions from one activity. When you're on the surface of the water, the experience can seem chaotic and loud; waves are crashing, people are yelling and boats are buzzing past. Once you descend into the reef, it's serene and relaxing. You forget about everything and float along with the current. On a dive in Negril, Jamaica, this sea turtle swam up from the reef wall, circled around me, and swam away. Once we were back on the boat, I asked if anyone else saw this turtle. Out of 8 divers, only one other person in our group noticed her. Since we all have unique experiences underwater, it makes me wonder about what the others saw that I missed out on. At the same time, I feel very fortunate to have had my own one of kind encounters. |
