Great Travel Moment I visited Guraidhoo two years ago. This summer, I returned. I took with me a copy of the pictures from 2005, so that people could have their pictures from two years ago. And, I took new pictures. I photographed some of the same people, including an elderly man wearing the same sarong he wore the other time I met him. I also met new people, and I photographed them. This is my favorite photograph. This boy and his sister had such a good time posing for pictures while their younger brother played hide and seek. One time when the sister was looking for the younger brother, this one climbed in to the window sill, grabbed hold of the frame, and stared at me. When I look at this picture, I am drawn to his eyes. The memory now is as fresh as it was the moments after it was taken, when his sister came in to view, pulling her younger brother by the hem of his shirt, and laughing in delight. |
