Great Travel Moment

The sun was piercingly hot that day, and seemed to burn a hole into my back, but these apples were cool and content, nestled amongst each other in the protective shade of the courtyard. I was just about to make my exit from Alcazar Segovia after a stint of sightseeing, when I noticed these carefully laid out displays hidden under one of the porticos. A few staff were preparing for a party, and these apples it seemed, were having a short siesta before the upcoming fiesta. The delicious fruit of varying crimson hues looked too cozy and comfortable on the wooden bench, to be disturbed by marauding human hands. The setting was pleasing to my eye, perhaps due to the various play of textures and composition. Whatever the reasons , I was just grateful that I captured this brief moment of tranquility, before the hurried preparation that was to follow momentarily.
