"Live the Cover!" Contest: MaldivesSt. Basil's Cathedral Red Square, Moscow, Russia

Great Travel Moment This beautiful cathedral is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. This is one reason that I chose to visit Russia. I just had to see it in person. Any newsworthy event from Russia always featured the reporter or news anchor positioned in front of it, or Russian Soldiers marching in front of it. St. Basil's Cathedral in Red Square is just as vibrant and colorful inside as the impressive onion shaped domes are on the outside. This was one of the first pictures I took on my trip to Russia. My friend and I were so excited to see it that we hired a driver to take us there and wait. As with many digital cameras, it took many tries to get this night shot right. I just held my breath and clicked. |

It reminds me of a giant gingerbread confection!

very good picture, but I think your title to it could have been a touch more interesting.
