Great Travel Moment We had only four days to experience the vibrant culture and diverse flavors of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Each area of the city has its own unique character, with stylish cafes and elegant architecture. After a morning spent in La Recoleta Cemetery, the burial place of Evita Peron, we visited La Boca, a neighborhood where houses are painted in bright colors and artists display their wares along the streets. We sipped mate (the national drink) and tasted alfajores (a popular Argentine cookie) at an outdoor café, fascinated by the parade of street artists flowing past us. Most striking of all were the residents of La Boca who, accompanied by the live music of tango musicians, transformed the sidewalk into a stage, delighting us with their graceful and beautiful tangos. |

From what I recall, mate is REALLY an acquired taste. I really love this picture. Great color and movement.
