"Live the Cover!" Contest: MaldivesTess and Better Half at Ponte Vecchio

Great Travel Moment Florence is our favorite city in Italy. Each time we go to Italy, we stop by Florence to eat at our favorite restaurants. Ponte Vecchio means"old bridge" in Italian. It was originally built with wood in 1333. After it was destroyed by flood, it was rebuilt in 1345. It was built with stone,then. The original tenants were butchers. Currently, the tenants are jewelry stores. Taddeo Gaddi was mostly responsible for its design. The Germans did not destroy this bridge in 1944 like they did most of the bridges in Florence. It is the most historical bridge sitting over the Arno River. |

Thanks, Nadine and fly4mom. Having a CN reunion sounds great! I thought of that yesterday. Perhaps, Mike could do a special photo workshop (for a fee, of course) and we could all meet at the workshop! How about it,everyone?! I will be in touch.

Thanks,Cindy. We are a simple, happy-go-lucky couple. We have a simple life style. I quit cooking many years ago so I have more time to do other things I enjoy - shopping, traveling and gardening- not in that order!

Thanks, cooking took a lot of energy from me. The two of us can just drive and within a 2 mile radius we can go to lots of restaurants. Around the holidays, I bake when I have enough energy!
