This picture is special to me for many reasons. Our trip to the Mayan Riviera was the first time my boyfriend and I traveled together. We had an incredible time exploring Mayan ruins, snorkeling in cenotes, and driving to small towns to experience local culture. This picture is from our trip to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. It shows exactly how I remember our vacation; beautiful turquoise water, the salty breeze blowing the palm trees, the sound of the waves crashing into the shore. I wonder if the Mayans appreciated this view. I can't imagine anyone taking this natural beauty for granted.
