This photo was taken of my (now) husband and I on our first trip to the San Francisco area together. We were lying by the pool at a home in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate from the city. At the time, we were college students and it was a point in our lives when we were so carefree and had so much in front of us. While we were uncertain about what our future held, at this moment we were purely content and satisfied with what we had and where we were.
