Great Travel Moment

I went to Turkey with a group led by a former professor of mine. We were privileged to attend a special demonstration of Dervish worship practices. It was held in a large room at the Istanbul train station near evening. The setting sun contributed to the sense of peace and focus which permeated the entire ceremony. It was like slipping back through a window in time to watch these men dance in worship while their colleagues played music on their instruments and sang in prayer.
