Great Travel Moment

I will never forget the way the children of Africa looked at me, sometimes it felt as if they were looking right through me, into my very soul. Their eyes were deep with heartache, love and a longing, or at least that's what I decided. They rushed to hold our hands and asked, since we were from the United States, if we knew Michael Jordan. To be our friend was all they wanted. To give them all I could was all I wanted. It was such a gift to meet these precious young children. I can't wait to return to Africa someday hopefully soon and take my 6 year old son with me. We plan on bringing lots of pens and paper to hand out to the children and hope to meet Lucy, the young orphan we're sponsoring in Kenya. This picture was taken somewhere in Africa, maybe Tanzania.
