Alone with my guide and driver in the White Desert of Egypt, we spent the night in this stunning setting with its surreal mountains shaped by thousands of years of wind. The fading sun brought out colors of extraordinary beauty. In the next act, the the stars covered the sky turning it into a white speckled cloth of black velvet. As if this was enough for the senses, a full moon rose over the peaks giving the desert a snowy glow to drift off to sleep by.
