Great Travel Moment Summer road trips are the best! This was taken at Mono Lake in California of the beautiful tufa that surround the lake. After taking this picture we went swimming in the lake which has a high concentration of salt. We floated around in the water while millions of tiny brine shrimp swam all around. When we got out of the water we were covered head to toe in salt! No showers for miles, it was a great trip! |

I am a Californian and now reside in NC and I can honestly say there is alot more about California I need to learn about. I would not have imagined there would be a lake so fascinating. Great Pic!
