Great Travel Moment

Ruby Beach in Washington holds many memories. I reflect on the days when my children, now adults, and Golden Retriever, now gone from me, traveled there with me. Mackie, my happy companion, attends to his own reflection in the water of the sandy beach. The tidal pools were as full of colorful life as I remembered, and I saw an American Eagle resting on a sea stack. This was one stop on a journey of five weeks through the US Pacific Northwest and Southwest covering remembered and new spots.
