Great Travel Moment Despite being sleep deprived and in oxygen debt, the views from the ridge were worth every desperate gasp for breath. We were running--yes, RUNNING, in a race--along a trail that served as the border between India and Nepal, at almost 12,000 feet. Sacred Kanchenjunga towered above us, and Everest, Makalu, and Lohtse loomed in the distance. We felt as though we were nestled in the palm of the Gods. |
