BRAZIL
In 1979's cartoonish Moonraker, 007 and high-heeled CIA agent Dr. Holly Goodhead spy on villain Hugo Drax's mysterious cargo planes from the top of Rio de Janeiro's famous landmark, Sugarloaf mountain. The duo then find themselves stuck in one of the mountain's cable cars after Drax's henchman Jaws—he of the lethal orthodonture—bites through the cable. They manage to escape by sliding down the cable, landing on the ground without a scratch as Jaws destroys the system's wheelhouse. Taking the cable car up Sugarloaf is still a must-do when visiting Rio—on a clear day you'll get breathtaking views of the beaches, mountains, and city—although we suggest taking the cable car back down as well.
