Beach + Island

Your Own Private Caribbean

Bajacu, Providenciales Island, Turks + Caicos

Pretend you're master of all you survey: Nestled on an 11-acre hilltop, Bajacu is just 15 minutes from the main town on Providenciales Island in Turk + Caicos, but its on-high location lends a feeling of comfortable separation. Designed by Mexican architect Marco Aldaco, it's a privately owned red and ochre fortress (the name means "rising sun" in the native language of the Arawak people) filled with African and Indonesian antiques, plus five bedrooms, seven baths, and two infinity pools. The commanding position means you'll have ocean-framed views of both sunrise and sunset, but it's not all high and dry: A private stone path leads down to the sea.
