While still loved by the British aristocracy—Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton have vacationed here—this Caribbean gem has been taken over by rock royalty and catwalk queens. Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Tommy Hilfiger own villas, and the leggy models who love them are never far away.

The star attraction: Little Mustique screams exclusivity with only two hotels and some 120 private villas, plus 12 tranquil white-sand beaches. Macaroni Beach—home to the lavish Jagger and Hilfiger pads—is one of the best perches, perfect for swimming, summit meetings, and Champagne picnics. Yet for all its mega-wealth, the island has a surprisingly chill vibe and just a few bars and restaurants.

Stargazing: To catch a Rolling Stone or the likes of Elle Macpherson, Hugh Grant, David Bowie, and Bryan Adams simply sashay into Basil's Bar on the pier. The island's legendary watering hole is built from bamboo and sits on stilts above the sea. There's no guest list, yet the bold-faced names would make most big-city night clubs look tame.
