Who hangs out here? The clue to this one-square-mile Indian Ocean island resort is in the name itself—private. And they do aim to keep the identities of their A-listers under wraps. The star attraction: This honeymoon haven is as secluded as it gets—paparazzi aren't getting close unless they charter a jet or boat. Even they'd probably abandon their long-lens cameras when they got a load of the seven secluded private beaches, turquoise waters, shimmering coral reefs, and bamboo boudoirs swathed in silks.
Stargazing: You'll be in the glittering company of a maximum of 40 glamorous guests—Pierce Brosnan and Michael Douglas are among those who've holed up here—and if they aren't beautiful, they will be rich. Act nonchalant as you dine on gourmet Creole treats at the Plantation House restaurant or sip Champagne and tropical cocktails at Pirates Bar. Remember, no staring.
The hot bed: Sixteen bamboo thatched villas are located on the northeastern coast of the island, overlooking the romantic beaches of Anse Macquereau and Anse Bambous. All villas have a canopied sundeck with a private outdoor Jacuzzi, a four-poster bed, and hand-carved Indian and Balinese furniture. You'll also get your own electric buggy for exploring the sandy coves and hidden bays.
