Free Nights at 13 Starwood Hotels in Mexico
The deal: Stay four nights and get one night free, plus $200 in food and drink credits, at any of 13 Starwood beach properties in Mexico. Choices include Westin, Le Meridien, and Sheraton resorts; the St. Regis Punta Mita; and five haciendas in the Luxury Collection group. If you stay seven nights, you get two nights free, plus $300 in food and drink credits. (Guests at the St. Regis Punta Mita actually get more in resort credits—$400 for four nights, $700 for seven nights—while those at the Westin Cancun get less: $100 for four nights, $150 for seven).
The dates: For travel now through December 22, 2009 with some blackout dates.
Wendy's inside tip: You should know that the free nights are credited upon checkout and that taxes vary depending on your destination. For example, you'll pay an extra 12% in tax and service charges in Cancun versus a whopping 28% in Punta Mita. Still, savings represent 25% to 33% off what you'd otherwise pay.
