September, Our Favorite Month

What a difference a month makes. If in most great destinations August equals too many tourists, heat-fatigued locals, and jacked-up hotel rates, September sees those same lovely locales empty out and prices fall. Bright-yellow school buses have swallowed up the kids and the bugs have buzzed off, but there are still Windex-blue skies, warm ocean waters, and 75-degree days. Simply put, September is our favorite month to travel. From the Amalfi Coast to the Great White Way, here are 13 reasons why.
