Suoi Tien Park
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
South American Christians haven't cornered the market on religious theme parks. At Ho Chi Minh City's Suoi Tien Park, a Buddhist-style Mount Rushmore rises 12 stories above a swimming pool with waterfalls gushing from the sages' beards. You can step inside the mouth of a giant golden dragon to see a neon Buddha shrine, or take a boat ride through animatronic representations of Naraka, Buddhism's version of Hell. Since the park focuses on animist aspects of the religion, expect lots of creatures on display, from swan boats to giant rotating turtles to workers dressed as golden monkeys who roam the park snapping pictures of visitors. And don't forget the real live animals: You can ride an aerial bicycle over a lake containing more than 1,500 crocodiles of all sizes, or, if you prefer to confront your fears on the ground, stand on the shore and dangle raw meat on sticks over their snapping jaws.
