Vince Vaughn and Family at the Fairmont Banff Springs, Banff, Canada
On location: Banff, Alberta may not be the first place you think of when considering the lifestyles of the rich and famous. But the pine-clad mountains of Banff National Park are as dazzling as anything you'll find in glitzy Aspen, and the castlelike Fairmont Banff Springs has been welcoming boldface names since 1888. (Avid skier and regular guest Alec Baldwin even refers to it as "the most beautiful place I've ever been.") The Fairmont's massive size (788 rooms) also makes it a good place to blend in. When Vince Vaughn, wife Kyla (who happens to be Canadian), and baby daughter Locklyn visited in July 2011, they opted to go even more incognito by booking a suite on the hotel's luxe Fairmont Gold floor, complete with a private check-in area, designated staff, and access to a lounge with killer mountain views.
Star attraction: It seems that what drew Vaughn and family were the area's supposed healing qualities. Or maybe the new parents just needed a break. They went off-resort to the Banff Upper Hot Springs, a historic spa and bathhouse at an elevation of 5,200 feet. Vaughn and his wife also booked time at the Fairmont's Willow Stream Spa (pictured), where waterfalls and a mineral pool soothe aching muscles. After all, even famous folks aren't immune to sore backs.
