Where to Stay
In a neighborhood teeming with boutique hotels, Legado Mitico’s traditional design and celebration of Argentine history (rooms take their themes from figures like Jorge Luis Borges and Eva Perón) seem almost quirky compared with the boho minimalism so typical of the genre. Unlike at many smaller hotels, the staff here are numerous and extremely helpful (54-11-4833-1300; doubles from $240).
How to get to the start of your walk: Have the front desk call you a taxi and ask to be dropped off at the Duhau entrance to the Park Hyatt. Expect to pay about 30 pesos (less than $10).
