The Most Delicious Macarons in the World

In 2010, François Payard, the chef and proprietor of FP Patisserie and François Payard Bakery, paid homage to his French roots when he launched New York City's first annual Macaron Day. The citywide event just celebrated its third year, with 14 bakeries handing out free confections to customers who mentioned "Macaron Day" at the counter (portions from additional sales benefited City Harvest).

Must-Try Flavors: Chocolate with Cocoa Nibs; Raspberry Lychee; and Mint Chocolate (pictured), a special Macaron Day creation, which will be available the week of March 18 only.
