Yes, we're grateful to Pierre Hermé for inaugurating a macaron holiday, but the cookie itself wouldnt exist without Ladurée—the first name in macarons. Founded in 1862, the confectioner now has more than 50 locations worldwide—including 15 in France, plus boutiques in Milan, Doha, London, New York City, and beyond—where it serves a variety of classic (vanilla, chocolate) and modern (strawberry mint, chestnut) flavors.
