World's Best Hotel Bathrooms

by Josey Miller

Tshukudu Bush Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa

The best of the bathroom: At Tshukudu Bush Lodge, a rustic retreat in South Africa's Pilanesberg National Park, nature doesn't just call—it roars. The windows over your sunken bathtub open onto the grassy plains and an animal-swarmed watering hole, which means you can rinse off the safari dust from a long day of game drives while watching the lions, leopards, and elephants you flew so far to see.

The rest of the bathroom: During recent renovations (completed in 2009), the chrome sinks and shower faucets were fitted with water-conserving hardware, and the floor was sealed in black slate. When you're finished soaking in the scenery, feel free to roam your chalet in your most natural state yourself—your closest human neighbor is nowhere nearby.
