World's Best Airport Bars

by Colleen Clark

"I'm sorry, folks, but the flight is going to be delayed another three hours." Ah, the joys of holiday travel. With all of those planes ferrying us to and from our loved ones, it's inevitable that hiccups will occur. But it's hard to stay in the holiday spirit when you've choked down lukewarm Sbarro, finished your novel, and are still stranded in a soul-sucking terminal. Thankfully, a growing number of airport watering holes are coming to the rescue with everything from live music to wine tastings to swimming pools. Drinking won't solve your problems, of course, but if you're going to booze before boarding, you might as well do it in one of the world's best airport bars. Just remember: Airlines can deny boarding to visibly intoxicated passengers, so temper your tippling.
