World's Best Airport Bars

by Colleen Clark

Eyecon at CPH, Copenhagen, Denmark

If you'd rather knock back a beer than sip a fancy cocktail to pass a long layover, here's hoping you get stuck in Copenhagen. Eyecon, in Terminal 2, is a great place to order a round of Danish suds, like Carlsberg or Jacobsen. In addition to ales, porters, and lagers, Eyecon serves aquavit flavored with herbs and seasonal fruits. The space is the picture of Scandinavian minimalist cool, with chrome and blond wood chairs plus computerized lighting that gently shifts throughout the day. If hunger strikes just as you're about to be released from airport purgatory, you can still score a Scandinavian small plate from a tasting menu of options like Danish salmon and prawns—it'll be served in 15 minutes or less.
