New Zealand's Otherworldly Landscapes



This idyllic beach in Te Pukatea Bay is part of Abel Tasman National park, named for the Dutchman who in 1642 came, didn’t conquer (after a brief battle with the Maori), and left. The park was created three hundred years later, in part to halt logging.
