The star-crossed lovers: In 1940, Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh married at this former citrus ranch near Santa Barbara—setting up a celeb chain reaction. Thirteen years later, a young John F. Kennedy and his bride, Jackie, honeymooned here, as did Julia Roberts and Danny Moder in 2002. Most recently it was Jennifer Lopez who celebrated her third marriage to emaciated Latin crooner Marc Anthony on the grounds.
Lovers' nest: This 500-acre ranch was converted into luxury bungalows in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains overlooking the Pacific's Channel Islands. Each cottage has a wood-burning fireplace and a hot tub situated on the private deck—both are glorious options for warming up after a brisk early-morning hike through Ysidro's 17 miles of trails.
The dirt: J. Lo insisted on staying in the Kennedy Suite on her honeymoon with Marc Anthony, the very same place—the same bed, even—where she had arranged to stay on the night of her wedding to Ben Affleck, an event that was called off only four days before the arranged date. Because, you know, as long as they spring for the bling, grooms are pretty much interchangeable.
