The pencils at the Andaz Hotel in London

The folks at the Andaz (view slideshow) in London have found a clever way to dispose of one of history's most annoying inventions, the CD jewel case: They turn them into pencils. The results are both eco-friendly and cool-looking (plus, they're great for, you know, writing stuff down). And feel free to take a few home: The hotel's "one-price" system means that everything from breakfast to Wi-Fi access, the minibar, local calls, and in-room entertainment is included in your room rate.
