Concierge.com's insider take:
The seven buildings that stack up the hillside behind the Antiqua Yacht Club look relatively bland in relation to their natural and historic surroundings. However, the attention to detail inside is what sets this yachtie residence apart from the rest. Fresh arrangements of green palm and orange birds-of-paradise punch up a neutral palate of bright white linens and dark Indonesian furniture. All rooms feature tiled floors, minibars, and flat-screen TVs, while the studio apartments and suites come with kitchenettes and custom-made four-poster beds swathed in netting. Air-conditioning augments the ceiling fans and breezes, and louvered doors open to verandas with teak deck furniture. The savvy, welcoming staff loves to show off the gym and tiled Turkish baths, both free to resort guests. The Italian owner, a sailing nut, has installed an attractive Caribbean/Italian restaurant on the upper floor of the yacht club across the street; it's moderately priced but dull at breakfast, stylish but expensive in the evening. The beach is just a five-minute walk away.
